Restore from a Backup via JSON

This feature allows you to quickly restore your wallet setup from a JSON file previously exported from SparX. It’s useful when setting up the wallet on a new device or recovering your configuration after reinstalling the app.

The backup file contains configuration data, such as public keys, account names, and network settings. It does not include any sensitive information like passwords, private keys, or seed phrases, which makes it safe to store and transfer between devices without exposing your confidential credentials.

Creating a Backup

  1. Open the "Manage seeds and accounts" menu.

  1. Click the gear icon in the My Seeds list.

  2. Select "Backup All".

You will receive a JSON file, which you can use later to restore your wallet setup.

Restoring from a Backup

  1. Launch SparX. On the welcome page choose "Restore from a backup via JSON"

  1. Select the JSON backup file you want to restore from.

Your backup has been restored. You can now continue using your wallet as before.
