Adding or Creating a Seed
Open the Manage seeds and accounts menu.
Select Add new seed to start the process.
Choose an option:
Create new seed: Generate a new seed phrase if you’re setting up a new account.
Import 12-word seed or Import 24-word seed: Enter an existing seed phrase to restore a previously used wallet and its associated keys and accounts. Just paste seed from a clipboard and it detects automatically.
Connect Ledger: Connect your Ledger device, and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.
Save or enter the seed phrase as prompted. For security, record it offline, as it grants full access to the wallet’s contents.
Important: Your seed phrase is, in essence, the complete key to your wallet - anyone who possesses it has full ownership of the wallet and its assets. Therefore, if you lose your seed phrase, you lose access to your wallet and all funds stored within. SparX cannot recover or reset a lost seed phrase, so it is critical to store it securely.
Set a password for this seed to enable secure management and confirm all transactions associated with it.
Managing a Seed
Open Accounts menu.
Choose Seed you want to manage.
Click the gear icon next to the seed phrase you wish to manage.
Options available include:
Rename: Assign a custom name for easier identification.
Export seed phrase: Securely export the seed phrase if you need to back it up or transfer it to another device.
Password settings: Update the password for this seed to maintain secure access over time.
Delete seed: Remove the seed from the current device.
By managing seeds effectively, you retain control over every public key and account linked to your wallet, ensuring that your digital assets are protected and accessible as needed.
