Adding or Creating a Seed
Open the Accounts menu and click Manage seeds and accounts.
Select Add Seed Phrase to start the process.
Choose an option:
Create new seed: Generate a new seed phrase if you’re setting up a new account.
Import Existing Seed: Enter an existing seed phrase to restore a previously used wallet and its associated keys and accounts.
Save or enter the seed phrase as prompted.
Important: Your seed phrase is, in essence, the complete key to your wallet - anyone who possesses it has full ownership of the wallet and its assets. Therefore, if you lose your seed phrase, you lose access to your wallet and all funds stored within. SparX cannot recover or reset a lost seed phrase, so it is critical to store it securely.
Set a password for this seed to enable secure management and confirm all transactions associated with it.
Managing a Seed
Click the gear icon next to the seed phrase you wish to manage.
Options available include:
Use this seed: Switch to the selected seed to manage and access it's accounts from the main page.
Rename: Assign a custom name for easier identification.
Export: Securely export the seed phrase if you need to back it up or transfer it to another device.
Scan seed: Automatically detects and displays accounts from all public keys in the selected seed for the current chain.
Change Password: Update the password for this seed to maintain secure access over time.
Delete: Remove the seed from the current device.
By managing seeds effectively, you retain control over every public key and account linked to your wallet, ensuring that your digital assets are protected and accessible as needed.
